mixed experience. some issues noted.
stained carpet uncomfortable temperatures
The carpet in our room was badly stained. this. it was also too hot. The pipes running around the room made it uncomfortable. i found it difficult to sleep well because of this, and the small window did not help. there were also no instructions on how to access the hotel after hours. We were confused when the bar closed.

fresh breakfast cereal selection shortbread touch
the room included tea and coffee. shortbread. the hallway had a divine scent. breakfast was cooked fresh to order with a selection of cereal and toast available, a treat i looked forward to each morning.
the wine was a tad expensive, a detail i noticed when the bill arrived! the price on the menu card differed from what we were charged.

excellent food helpful staff comfortable beds ensuite bathroom
the family party i attended at the hotel had excellent food and service the room was clean and well equipped it had everything i needed breakfast was also good the staff were very friendly and helpful i will definitely return if i am in the area again. the room had comfortable beds and fresh linens. there were coffee and tea facilities available. the ensuite bathroom included complimentary toiletries.
i noticed a slight delay in receiving my requested wake-up call one morning it was only a few minutes but still noticeable

good quality toiletries good quality bed linen charming village outdated tv pixelated programmes bland coffee
the room was comfortable. toiletries were good quality. bed linen was also good quality. the location in a charming village was great, it was quiet at night, so sleep was uninterrupted.
at £160 a room , i was surprised to find an outdated tv with no hd channels. it also wasn't a smart tv. it reminded me of a step back in time with the pixelated programmes. the coffee wasn't better , despite the food being to such an very nice standard.
